Mission

Our mission is to support individuals with disabilities and mental health disorders in developing an empowered state of mind through Equine Assisted Services (EAS). We provide education to individuals and community organizations about the therapeutic benefits and positive impact of incorporating EAS into their life. Facilitating the horse to human connection is an innovative way to approach personal growth and human development.

Our Story

Grace Reins Equine Therapy Inc was established as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in July of 2022 by Erin Roman. Erin was a volunteer at a Therapeutic Riding Center when she lost her beloved son Brandon to an accidental overdose on July 15, 2021. The barn had offered her a safe place to land her grief. This small community of strong and inspiring women became a lifeline to what now had become an uncertain purpose and meaning to life. During a time when words alone brought no comfort or solace to a shattered heart, Orion held space in silence to heal the pain. The broken pieces eventually began to mend back together but in a different way. The darkness began to transform into light, despair into hope, and sadness into joy. In the midst of grief, grace found her. Erin is now dedicating her life to helping individuals heal the deep wounds of trauma and the underlying symptoms of mental illness by partnering with horses to facilitate the healing process.
